The Wedge Espresso is a quirky little cafe nestled in Glebe that’s great for people-watching. Its atmosphere is laid-back, friendly and full of natural light.
People often say the hardest thing to do is to be good at the simple things. I think The Wedge Espresso has done exactly that – making everyday magic with the simplest ingredients. There is nothing too special about this place, in fact, it’s the simplicity that they do best keeps luring me back.

What I love: The food. The setup.
Will I come back: Yes.
This is a photo showing how wedged in the cafe is. The bench is good for a solo coffee fix or brunch with a small group of good friends. Unfortunately, it’s not suitable for bigger groups.
The inside is narrow but full of character.
The menu.
Cappuccino, small $3.5, large $4.
The Henry, with smashed egg, double smoked ham, avocado, gruyere, smoked chipotle mayo, basil and rocket on a panini, $13.
This was amazing! Basically all my favourite things combined and sandwiched in a lightly toasted killer panini. It’s fresh, it’s comforting, it’s healthy, it’s honestly delicious.
Little Miss Porkie (Brickfields Panini), roasted pork, capsicum, onion in a smokey tomato and cumin sauce with fresh coriander, $12.
