I stayed two nights at the Palazzo Versace for my legal conference in August and I absolutely loved it. The decors of the rooms and the hotel facilities deserved the five-star recognition and, of course, everything was made more glamorous with the Versace label.
【Travel】Natural Bridge, Springbrook .::Twinkle twinkle little glow worms::.
I had always known that there is a glow worm cave near Gold Coast. However, I wasn’t sure whether to add this to our itinerary because… while a cave of twinkling galaxy may sound romantic – it is in fact a cave of living larvae waiting to grow up to become a type of small fly (known as Arachnocampa flava). Eek.
Nevertheless, my curiosity overcame my inner neat-freak and a trip to the glow worm cave turned out to be one of the highlights of our Gold Coast trip!
【Travel】Mount Tamborine ..::The Hinterland – a different side of Gold Coast::.
Having been to Gold Coast several times, we decided to take a day away from the white sand and beaches to explore The Hinterland for the first time – It’s an absolute gem!
【Travel】Kangaroo Island .::Accommodation & Transport::.
I am definitely not a “I must stay at a 5-star hotel” kind of traveller. When it comes to picking the right accommodation, I always ask these questions:
- How much time do I expect to spend in the room?
- How far is it from the main attractions?
- What are the room rates per night per person?
- Does the bathroom and bed look clean?
【Travel】Kangaroo Island .::[Day 3] Murray Lagoon, Clifford’s Honey Farm, Penneshaw, Cape Willoughby, Lashmar Conservation Park::.
Day 3 Itinerary
Kingscote (home) -> Murray Lagoon -> Clifford Honey Farm ->Penneshaw -> Cape Willoughby -> Lashmar Conservation Park -> Penneshaw (7pm ferry)
【Travel】Kangaroo Island .::[Day 2] Dolphin Swim, Marron Cafe, Seal Bay::.
WE DID IT. WE SWAM WITH DOLPHINS.
After enduring a moment of panic, almost swallowing a gulp of seawater and letting out several painful but quiet screams muffled by my snorkel, I finally found my bearings and started treading water like crazy in the fear that I would get paralysed by the freezing 10-degree-Celsius ocean. I kept swimming, kept swimming, and kept swimming…
And there they were.
A school of dolphins elegantly appeared just centimetres in front of my eyes. It was magical.
【Travel】Kangaroo Island .::[Day 1] Prospect Hill, Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, Cape du Couedic, Vivonne Bay, Oyster Shop::.
Finally. I had been looking forward to our Kangaroo Island trip for months (nine months to be exact)! I was wholeheartedly impressed by the rich nature’s treasure that Kangaroo Island welcomed us with – it will forever have a special place in my heart.
【Sydney Life】Sydney Tower Eye
I have never been a big fan of the Centrepoint Tower (now more well known as the Sydney Eye Tower). Frankly, it’s one of the most aesthetically unappealing towers that I have ever seen. However, after seeing it being on a lot of tourists’ “must do” list, I decided to go up there myself to find out what the hype is about.
This was my first, and undoubtedly the last, visit.

The Rozelle Markets is one of the biggest flea markets in Sydney. This is the place where you can browse through other people’s trash and hopefully find something that you would treasure.
