Every once in a while, I crave for a bowl of good handmade Chinese noodles. Every time that happens, Chinese Noodle Restaurant springs to mind.
【Sydney Food】Yang Guo Fu Ma La Tang (Chinatown)
“Ma La Tang” (or MLT), is a Chinese phrase which directly translates to “hot and spicily cooked”. It was the new trend that took Sydney by storm in 2016 with many new MLT restaurants opening in different locations all over Sydney.
Mike and I visited Yang Guo Fu Ma La Tang in Chinatown and loved it.
【Sydney Food】Malay-Chinese (The laksa place)
Malay-Chinese is the laksa place in Sydney CBD.
【Sydney Food】Red Chilli Hotpot (Glebe)
Like my many food adventures in Sydney, I first came here with L. One of the specialties at Red Chilli Hotpot Glebe restaurant is dry chili woks that can also be turned into a hot pot during the same meal. How brilliant, it totally solves the dilemma of whether to have dry wok or hot pot on a cold winter day….why not have both!
【Sydney Food】Master Bowl .::Sichuan chilli dry wok::.
Master Bowl is one of the few Chinese restaurants that I actually have cravings for from time to time. The distinct smell of Sichuan chilli and peppercorn would immediately grab hold of your senses as soon as you step in.
【Sydney Food】Pu’er .::Beautiful tea and Chinese food with a Western twist::.
When I was first introduced to Pu’er, I was told that this is a restaurant that specialises in “modern and traditional Asian food, with a western flair“. Well…as someone that has an Asian background and truly appreciates authentic Chinese food, that was, frankly, a little worrying — until I actually tasted their food.
【Sydney Food】Lynn Shanghai Cuisine
In my opinion, Lynn has the best Shanghainese pan-fried pork buns in Sydney.
【Sydney Food】Old Town Hong Kong Cuisine
I’ve only been to Old Town Hong Kong Cuisine once, but I have already dubbed it my new favourite place to have a decent, yet affordable, Chinese feast. Everything was impeccable – from the high quality decor, to the vast menu choices, to the execution of the dishes. Old Town is the perfect place to grab a quick bite or organise a gathering with old friends.
【Sydney Food】Fisherman’s Wharf
If you are ever looking for yum cha with good atmosphere, Fisherman’s Wharf is the place to go.
