I stayed two nights at the Palazzo Versace for my legal conference in August and I absolutely loved it. The decors of the rooms and the hotel facilities deserved the five-star recognition and, of course, everything was made more glamorous with the Versace label.
【Travel】Natural Bridge, Springbrook .::Twinkle twinkle little glow worms::.
I had always known that there is a glow worm cave near Gold Coast. However, I wasn’t sure whether to add this to our itinerary because… while a cave of twinkling galaxy may sound romantic – it is in fact a cave of living larvae waiting to grow up to become a type of small fly (known as Arachnocampa flava). Eek.
Nevertheless, my curiosity overcame my inner neat-freak and a trip to the glow worm cave turned out to be one of the highlights of our Gold Coast trip!
【Travel】Mount Tamborine ..::The Hinterland – a different side of Gold Coast::.
Having been to Gold Coast several times, we decided to take a day away from the white sand and beaches to explore The Hinterland for the first time – It’s an absolute gem!
【Travel】Bali .::Weekend away at Karma Kandara Resort::.
Bali is a place for relaxing and unwinding, showing off bikini bodies and indulging in the luxurious elite life at an affordable price.
Our family loves holidaying in Bali. We have been there so many times, my sisters and I nicknamed it “our backyard”. Since we had ticked off most of the touristy things years ago (e.g. Tanah Lot, Ubud, Kuta, traditional dances, getting our hair braided, etc, been there done that), we were happy to spend most of our time at the resort this time around.
For fellow Sydneysiders contemplating a weekend in Bali – It’s totally doable and you will not regret it.
【Sydney Food】Clipper Cafe
Clipper Cafe is a gem in Glebe that reminds me of a sunny afternoon in Santorini. It is somewhere that I wouldn’t mind spending the whole afternoon in while daydreaming my next holiday.
【Sydney Food】Doyles Fishermans Wharf (Watson Bay)
Doyles at Watson Bay is a big name in the Sydney seafood restaurant scene. I had heard good things about the fish’n’chips here and I know that the fish’n’chips at Doyles Fishermans Wharf are on the “To-Do List” of many travelers visiting Sydney. Some even dubbed Doyles as having the best fish’n’chips in Sydney.
Unfortunately, we were left rather disappointed. Did we come on a bad day? Maybe. Are we coming back? No.
【Sydney Food】The Greens
I love celebrating birthdays, but finding the perfect venue is not an easy task. I was looking for a place that is classy yet cozy; not too expensive but has good food; can fit at least 10 people but does not have strict booking policies, easy to get to but not somewhere that I have been to before…
Just when I had given up on the idea of throwing a party this year, I stumbled upon The Greens. It ticked all the boxes!
【Sydney Food】O Organic Produce Cafe
I would have never stepped foot in O Organic Produce Cafe if it wasn’t for Julie. For starters, I am skeptical about the supposed benefits of organic food. Also, the first word the pops up into my head when I see the word “organic” is “expensive”. And more importantly, the shopfront and signage of O Organic Produce Cafe fades compared with the other hipster and flashy cafes on Crown Street.
After today, I kicked myself for not discovering this place sooner.
【Sydney Food】Grumpy Barista
Grumpy Barista is a little quaint and charming cafe in Petersham that made its mark on Instargam with their guilt-inducing cronuts. I came for the cronuts, I was wow-ed….but not in a way that I had hoped. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t hesitate to return just for the avocado on toast drizzled with their exquisite zesty house-made dressing.
【Sydney Food】Panzerotti Bar | Italian Restaurant
Panzerotti Bar is officially my favourite Italian place in town. The service is efficient, the staffs are friendly and the kitchen cooks up one hell of a scrumptious pasta storm.
