I don’t usually go to steakhouses, but when I do, I will now always go to Chophouse.
Do not leave without trying their dessert – we didn’t expect a steakhouse to have such an extensive range of desserts, and we certainly didn’t expect every single one that we ordered to be as amazing as they were.

Menu.
Sashimi of yellow fin tuna, $24.50.
I’m not a fan of tuna (I’m more of a salmon person), but this was absolutely beautiful.
Cauliflower Gratin (gruyere, parmesan and sourdough), $12.9. Hot and cheesy, one of my favourite dishes of the night.
Asparagus and greens salad (65 degrees egg, spinach, green peas, zucchini, parmesan dressing), $18.90. The runny 65 degrees egg gave the leaves a smooth and natural coating. Yum.
Onion rings, $9.90.
Grilled minute steak of wagyu MB5+, Rangers Valley NSW, $24.90 (200g).
Dry aged Nolans Reserve T-Bone, Gympie QLD, $43.50 (450g).
Pan roasted Barramundi, $32.90.
Wagyu rump cap, MB6+, F1, AA&Co QLD, $39 (200g).
The dessert menu.
We thought about having dessert somewhere else because the time was almost up for our seating. However, we changed our mind as soon as we saw the dessert menu – everything on the menu looked amazing!
Chophouse Swiss milk chocolate block (150g honeycomb milk chocolate block), $10.90. I wanted to order the dark chocolate block but I got outvoted…so we got the milk chocolate block instead. When the chocolate block came, we were all stunned – oh wow, 150g of chocolate is actually quite a lot.
The waitress did a good job cutting the chocolate for us. Each of us got 2 huge chunky pieces. It’s silky and rich, but too sweet for my liking.
Lemon cheese cake (lemon curd, meringue & ginger breadcrumb), $12.90. Highlight of the day – the sourness of lemon curd was a perfect match with the cheese cake. Delicious!
Frangelico creme brulee (Vienna hazelnut), $11.90. One of the best creme brulee’s in town with a hint of Frangelico (hazelnut flavoured liqueur)!
