Knowledge is King. Curiosity is Queen.
With adrenaline pumping through my veins and the cold Icelandic air brushing past my cheeks…I stepped onto the giant sparkling glacier rock at Skaftafell.
Me, and the immensely powerful mother nature, became one.
No photos or videos would ever do justice to the Icelandic magic that sparkled under the soft and low-hanging winter sun – that morning at the enchanted Jökulsárlón Glacier Lake and Diamond Beach.
It’s breathtaking. It’s magical. It’s out of this world.
When I do my holiday research, I like to find food tips in other cities that are “local favourites”, rather than “tourist must-try'”. That’s why I decided to publish a Guide like this for Sydney – the city that I have lived and loved for the past ten years.
This Guide is dedicated to people looking for good and cheap eats in Sydney (mostly in the CBD), nothing fancy. This post is not sponsored and the content reflects my honest and humble opinion of the Sydney food that I have tried and often have cravings for.

Circular Quay will always hold a special place in my heart.
More than 10 years ago, I relocated to Sydney with my family. One year later, my family moved to Shanghai whilst I was left to stay in Sydney for my last year of high school and HSC. I wasn’t lonely, but from to time, I felt alone. I don’t even remember what happened that day, maybe I just needed a break. I took a detour after school and hopped onto a City Circle train. I didn’t know where I was going.
Every once in a while, I crave for a bowl of good handmade Chinese noodles. Every time that happens, Chinese Noodle Restaurant springs to mind.
Did you know there is another revolving restaurant in Sydney other than the Sydney Tower?
“Ma La Tang” (or MLT), is a Chinese phrase which directly translates to “hot and spicily cooked”. It was the new trend that took Sydney by storm in 2016 with many new MLT restaurants opening in different locations all over Sydney.
Mike and I visited Yang Guo Fu Ma La Tang in Chinatown and loved it.
