Panzerotti Bar is officially my favourite Italian place in town. The service is efficient, the staffs are friendly and the kitchen cooks up one hell of a scrumptious pasta storm.

Panzerotti used to be on the corner of York Street and Margaret Street. They recently moved a few shops down to 60 Margaret Street. The black and white shopfront looks smart and welcoming.
Garlic bread.
Homemade Gnocchi (roasted eggplant, garlic, chilli, napoletana sauce, buffalo mozzarella), $18.
Linguine boscaiola (mushrooms, pancetta, caramelised onions, cream), $17.
Penne Amatriciana (pancetta, caramelised onions, chilli, napoletana sauce), $17.
The steaming hot and delicious pasta came within minutes of us placing the order. Jen and I finished our meal and even had dessert within an hour – this is what I like most about Panzerotti: fine dining quality, “fast food” efficiency. Perfect place for a speedy lunch date!
Open kitchen.
The lunch menu.
They have a different dessert every day. This de-constructed tiramisu that Jen and I shared was absolutely amazing.
My colleague and I shared this Creme Brulee on a separate visit.
Another dessert that VL and I had on our first visit.
Even though they only offer one choice of dessert on any given day, so far, they have impressed me with their 100% success rate!
I highly recommend making a reservation for weekday lunch as the restaurant is always packed during the weekday lunch-hour rush. If you want a quieter and slightly prolonged lunch, you should considering coming after 1:30pm or even 2pm.
Panzerotti now opens for dinner on Thursday and Friday! Mikey and I came here on a date night once, the atmosphere was casual and relax, yet still very charming.
Dinner menu.
Chestnut mushroom crostini, garlic, chilli, eschallots, parsley, $12. This was quite average.
Nanna’s famous beef linguine bolongese, $18.
