Clipper Cafe is a gem in Glebe that reminds me of a sunny afternoon in Santorini. It is somewhere that I wouldn’t mind spending the whole afternoon in while daydreaming my next holiday.

The menu.
Mushroom Pesto Eggs (free range eggs served on Italian ciabatta bread with mushrooms, parmesan cheese and basil pesto topped with home made capsicum relish), $13.
Soup du jour (French onion and mushroom soup with a side of spinach and toast), $11.
I could never resist the temptation of French onion soup, so much so that I didn’t even pay much attention to the detailed description of the soup – I only realised it is French onion and mushroom soup when I took the first sip. The mushrooms were finely chopped but not blended, which added some texture to the soup. Overall, I would say it’s more mushroom soup than onion soup. The toast was exceptional.
Cleanser juice (apple, pear, spinach and mint), $6. || Tropical smoothies (fresh banana, mango, organic yoghurt, milk and honey), $6.
